Just came across your wonderful blog and am now following it. My father-in-law Edward Ray Jackson was in the 16oth Bruce Battalion (from Teeswater). I am posting his letters and photographs on www.lettersfromww1.blogspot.com Have a look! There was a Sgt Lorne Smith in his group.
I absolutely love your design. It is gorgeous!
How have I missed your fabulous new blog layout and design? It is everything I wish mine was. I didn't know you could make eblogger look so great . . . and I love the tabs, but most of all I love your quotes. Reading them, I feel a swelling in my heart, because, after all is said and done, what makes genealogists so passionate is because it is so emotional - something DOES change inside of us! Thank you for sharing them.
Love the design of your blog, the quotes, and the content. I've added you to my reader.
HI Ruth, Melinds, Margel and Paulenn I missed seeing your post here...boy need to remember to check this section! Thank you all for the kind words about Spirits of The Old :) Margel I changed the design about a year or so ago, but if you use the reader you might have missed the change :) I love finding quotes about this wonderful passion I have for family history, I'm glad you feel the same way~ It's so nice to be able to talk and share these things with people who understand, many of my friends and family think I'm obsessed and possibly a wee bit insane ( and they are correct ) when it comes to my love of my families History.Thank you all for stopping by.
