Just came across your wonderful blog and am now following it. My father-in-law Edward Ray Jackson was in the 16oth Bruce Battalion (from Teeswater). I am posting his letters and photographs on www.lettersfromww1.blogspot.com Have a look! There was a Sgt Lorne Smith in his group.
How have I missed your fabulous new blog layout and design? It is everything I wish mine was. I didn't know you could make eblogger look so great . . . and I love the tabs, but most of all I love your quotes. Reading them, I feel a swelling in my heart, because, after all is said and done, what makes genealogists so passionate is because it is so emotional - something DOES change inside of us! Thank you for sharing them.
HI Ruth, Melinds, Margel and Paulenn I missed seeing your post here...boy need to remember to check this section! Thank you all for the kind words about Spirits of The Old :) Margel I changed the design about a year or so ago, but if you use the reader you might have missed the change :) I love finding quotes about this wonderful passion I have for family history, I'm glad you feel the same way~ It's so nice to be able to talk and share these things with people who understand, many of my friends and family think I'm obsessed and possibly a wee bit insane ( and they are correct ) when it comes to my love of my families History. Thank you all for stopping by.
